Our Promise
Your interests always come first.
We don’t do “one-size-fits-all.” We’re here for you and for the long-term benefit of you and your family.
Who We Are
In 2001, Sean Campbell joined forces with his father, Colin Campbell, at Merrill Lynch in Richmond, Virginia. Together they led The Campbell Group, providing wealth management solutions to individuals and their families. One of the youngest hires in their Wealth Management division, Tim Deegan joined Merrill Lynch in 2011, having already accrued an impressive array of experience with two Fortune 500 companies as well as with a Japanese capital markets firm. In 2013, Tim joined Sean and Colin, and together they managed one of the largest practices in the Southern Virginia market.
In 2017, Sean and Tim left Merrill Lynch to launch Campbell Deegan Financial, an independent fiduciary and Registered Investment Advisory firm. Campbell Deegan became a Focus partner firm in 2018. Campbell Deegan is founded on a shared belief that the clients’ interests always come first. Moving to an independent platform has given us the freedom and autonomy to deliver on this commitment. It has allowed us to strengthen our ability to provide our clients with innovative, high-quality solutions, access to a wider universe of investment vehicles, and more highly personalized service and attention in an open, objective, and transparent environment.
What Makes Us Different
The answer is you. Because your goals, needs and circumstances are yours and yours alone, so is our approach to managing your money. For us, it’s all about personalization. Whatever your goals and objectives — whether it’s planning for retirement, minimizing your tax burden, or protecting your legacy for future generations — our team takes the time to learn about you so we can customize a unique financial plan and investment strategy designed to help you achieve them.
